Today we went on a field trip to Florida Hospital to learn about our guts. They showed us all sorts of stuff that they have pulled out of human bodies. We got to see an enlarged heart, a smoker's lungs, a healthy liver and the liver of an alcoholic. We also saw a slice of a healthy brain, a healthy kidney and a very sick kidney. It was very, very gross! When she showed the sick kidney, every single person in the conference room had a disgusted look on their faces. We also saw a tape worm and learned how important it is to wash our hands before eating. It was a disgusting and educational adventure.
