Ewwwwwwwww!

  1. In science we read about medicine in Colonial America. Mostly the doctors prescribed rest and silly folk remedies. At the same time period in Europe, it was common practice for doctors to bleed patients. I would go into more detail but that would gross you out, hence the title of this post. It turns out that the folk remedies were much more effective than anything the doctors in Europe were practicing.
  2. Twizzler is doing better with his handwriting. He tried to whiz through the beginning of the book so I had to go over it with him and erase a lot of hasty work so he could rewrite it and learn the correct way to write. it. This book is EXACTLY what he has needed. Not only does it teach how to write the letters but it teaches phonics and some grammar too. I am really pleased with it.
  3. Skittles is having a lot of fun in his Cheerful Cursive book too. His penmanship is beautiful and he is learning more than just cursive. He is learning alphabetizing and letter combinations as well. It was well worth the money.
  4. Hershey learned how to jump off of Nana's step down into the den today. Oh the joys of daring little boys.
  5. The boys read some more about William Penn today in history. We read that the King of England gave William Penn all of Pennsylvania.
  6. Hershey has learned how to ask for help. He says, "hum me" for help me.
