Mr. Manners

When I handed Hershey his cup of milk this morning he said, "Take oo." Later on I was trying to wake up and reading my FB notifications when he sneezed a  few times. After he sneezed he tapped me on the arm and said, "Bess oo mama" I realized he was prompting me, "Oh yes, bless you honey." I am so proud of his good manners.
  1. In science we read about animals on a pioneer farm. Then we experimented with our Lincoln Logs to make different kinds of fences.
  2. In history we read about a little boy who wanted to work for a newspaper. He worked very hard. People teased him calling him a tow-head. We talked about what a towhead is and where the term came from. Incidentally, Hershey and Skittles are both towheads. I was always called a towhead growing up and I took offense because I did not know the meaning
  3. SOMEHOW, magically, we are a day ahead in English. So the kids got a break from their least favorite subject.
  4. One of Twizzler's spelling words is 'pretty.' He read the word and then said, "Mom you are pretty." awwww..... Thank you. You still have to spell it correctly sweetheart.
Tonight we have DC4K. That means I have to be at my church at 5. THAT means I need to leave at 4:30. THAT means I need to feed the kids dinner while I am setting up. I HAD been picking up kids meals from Wendy's but I can't afford to do that every week. So I decided to take a page out of my SIL's book and make a big lunch so that I can just pack some sandwiches to take for dinner. I am hoping this new habit will help us stay within out meal budget.

P.S. It is okay to comment on my posts. ;) Otherwise I kind of feel like I am talking to myself. Which is entirely possible.

  2. Hershey & Twizzler are too cute. I also love the Lincoln Log fence and the big lunch idea. :)
